Jiajie Xu, PhD

Jiajie grew up in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province in China. He received a BS in Biological Sciences from Fudan University. After that, he moved to Chicago and got his PhD from the University of Chicago. He studied the Hippo signaling pathway in flies with Dr. Richard Fehon in graduate school. He is currently a postdoc research fellow at MGH in the Rajagopal lab. His current interest is how mechanical force regulates airway homeostasis and regeneration.

What drew you to your field?

Epithelial biology.

What do you do when you’re not in the lab?

​Binge watching Netflix/Amazon prime video, biking, and going to the gym.
