Jiawei Sun, PhD

​

Jiawei was born and raised in the city of Taixing in Jiangsu, China. He went to Tsinghua University in Beijing and received his BS in biology. He then worked as a lab tech and went on to pursue a PhD at Tsinghua. There he studied maternal control of embryogenesis in zebrafish with Dr. Anming Meng. He joined the Rajagopal lab in 2019 as a postdoc.

Lungs are important.

What do you do when you’re not in the lab?

Thinking about what to do in the lab. Cooking. Watching sports and other stuff.
